Father's day

So I hope you have a great day. I did not buy dh a present. We had decided that the paint would be his Father's Day present and our birthdays are both in July so we are counting the paint and stuff towards that also. We did some new small carpets, the shower curtain, some curtains, and the comforter also.

Today I put away two more baskets of laundry. Now I am caught up except for a small amount and what we are wearing. I also steamed J's room. All of this before church.

Church was ok. We had a different speaker today. He is not very good to be honest. I did not enjoy it much. I got something out of it. He finished the series on Parables. The parable he did was the loaves and fishes. (Ok - am I right, but that is not a parable.- right?) His point was that God can use what you give and make it bigger and better. He used balloons as an example. What we give is like an unblown up balloon, but God can can make it like a blown up balloon.

Then we went to Bonanza for lunch. It was ok, but it was open at 10:30 and not so busy so that was good. The kids were awful. All of them!!! Happy Father's Day DH!

We came home and T took a nap. S had to sit out for a while because she was so lovely. She also cleaned out the van. The rest of us played on the Wii.

Then we just skipped Awana's. I did not call or tell anyone. We just did not go. S was supposed to teach in her group also. I was going to go, and actually was about to tell the kids to get ready. I could tell that dh was hurt that we were going, so I just decided that we would skip it. S's group keeps doing that to her, so I guess they don't feel it is important to go. We maybe done for the summer. They said that the next time is the last time, and we maybe out of town. We maybe be leaving the church anyway. We went to our church today, but dh said he thought it was time to leave the church. This morning he said, maybe we should go one more time. They hired the guy that spoke today and he talked about reaching the post modern mind. What does that mean? I don't know?

Anyway, we got in the car and drove to about 20 minutes away. They have a Valentino's (a pizza buffet) dh grew up going there all of the time. It is his favorite. The bill was $45. It is expensive to go to, but it is Father's day. Anyway, we had a bunch of coupons and she combined them. The total she came too, was $16. Woo Hoo.

Then we set up our Volleyball/badmitton net. We played Badmitton for a while. It was fun. All of us with our rackets and such. We did not keep score and who ever had the birdie served. We were getting pretty good.

Now DH is watching about the moon stuff on the History channel. BORING. I guess he gets to for Father's Day.
